This post is part of my monthly newsletter—a reflection on healing, nervous system support, and the deep work of becoming more fully ourselves. If you’d like these moments of grounded support delivered to your inbox, you can sign up here.
Hello and Welcome
This is the first of what will become a monthly offering—a space to share reflections, gentle guidance, and somatic practices rooted in the work I do as a licensed counselor specializing in Somatic Experiencing®.
My hope is that each message feels like a pause, a place to exhale, and an invitation back into your body.
Whether you're a current client, a past client, or someone simply interested in the healing journey—I'm grateful you’re here.
Each month, I’ll share thoughts related to nervous system regulation, life experiences, and the ways our stories live in the body. You might find journal prompts, small somatic practices, or reflections to carry with you.
This Month’s Theme: Mothering Ourselves
As we move through May—a time when the world talks a lot about motherhood—many of us find ourselves reflecting on what was given, what was missing, and what we’re still learning to offer ourselves.
Mothering, in this context, is not about gender or roles. It’s about nurture. Safety. Soothing. Repair.
It’s the slow return to the parts of us that were once unmet—and learning to meet them now, with gentleness.
A Few Questions to Reflect On:
What does it feel like to offer yourself gentleness today?
How do you know, in your body, when you feel safe enough to soften?
What part of you is still longing to be held with kindness?
Let these questions land softly. There’s no need to rush into an answer.
As always, take what resonates and leave the rest. I’m so grateful to be on this journey with you.
With care and gratitude,
Lillian
